“So Cool” Alternates Paper Pumpkin April 2021

Good morning and welcome to another edition of Cards and Creations by Lori McBride. My name is Lori McBride and I’m a Stampin Up Independent Demonstrator from Joshua,TX.

Today, I’d like to share with you a few alternatives that I created with the April 2021 “So Cool” Paper Pumpkin Kit.

Initially in my live Facebook video, I created the cards as per the instructions in the kit. After the video ended I got busy with some of the ideas I had swirling in my head.

The first Alternate I just simply used some Stampin’ Seal and closed the completed Kit Card and added some Stampin Dimensionals to the back.

The Cardbase is Old Olive Cardstock measuring 4 1/4″×11″ and scored at 5 1/2″. I added a Basic Black Matte Base and some of the Sweet Ice Cream Designer Series Paper and then added just a few of the Black Matte Dots to the front to complete the card.

The second Alternate card that I created I used the watermelon image and stamped it randomly on a piece of Basic White Cardstock. I colored the watermelons with Poppy Parade and Just Jade Stampin’ Blend Markers.

The Cardbase is Just Jade Cardstock and then I added two Matte Bases one in Basic Black and the other is Poppy Parade.

I stamped the “so cool” sentiment in Just Jade Ink on one of the banners that came in the kit.

I added a piece of Real Red Satin Ribbon to the top of the watermelons using Stampin’ Seal Adhesive, added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the Glitter Rectangle that came in the kit and the banner and adhered them in place.

I used Stampin’ Seal Adhesive to glue the Matte Bases to the Cardbase but added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the watermelon piece.

The third Alternate that I’d like to share with you today is again just a standard A2 Cardbase in Old Olive, a Matte Base in Bermuda Bay Cardstock, 2 pieces of the Sweet Ice Cream DSP measuring 1 1/2″. I stamped the popsicle from the stamp set that came in the kit, hand colored it with the Stampin’ Blend Markers and flickered some Clear Wink of Stella over it.

I also added just a few of the Black Matte Dots to this project to complete it.

I stamped the “happy birthday” sentiment on the banner that came in the Kit in Old Olive Ink.

I adhered the Glitter Rectangle from the Kit down with Stampin Seal Adhesive and then added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the sentiment and the popsicle and secured in place.

I decided to mix it up and add just a few Artistry Blooms Sequins to give it that finishing touch.

For my final alternate project, I stamped the popsicles on a piece of Basic White Cardstock and colored them with the Stampin’ Blends.

I added the Banner and glitter rectangle to the front, and added Stampin’ Dimensionals to one of the stickers intended for the back of the envelopes and then added a bow to the front of the popsicle using the Bumblebee twine that came in the kit with Mini Glue Dots.

I attached the card front to the Blackberry Bliss with Stampin’ Dimensionals and then just added a few Artistry Blooms Sequins to give it that little finishing touch.

The possibilities are endless with the So Cool Kit but I hope that you’ve enjoyed all of the great alternates that I’ve shared with you today.

Thank you so much for joining me today. I hope you’ll join me again soon for another edition.
