Good morning and welcome to another edition of Cards and Creations by Lori McBride. My name is Lori McBride and I’m a Stampin’ Up Independent Demonstrator.
Today, I’d like to share with you this Valentine’s Day Money Holder.
My thoughts behind this project are that my kids are grown, where a little bit of candy is okay, they prefer the cold, hard cash. Maybe your teenager will need a little extra spending money to treat his special someone to a nice dinner, perhaps there’s a gift certificate to a nice restaurant is in there rather than cash, maybe you’d like to treat your Mom or Grandma to a day at the spa or a nice manicure and pedicure. There are still a million and one ways to use a money holder.

UPDATE 2: At this time, all Blog Posts that could be restored have been restored. Thank you again for your patience and understanding.
UPDATE: At this hour, there are still currently 6 Blog Posts without photos. Unfortunately, more than 30 Blog Posts had to be removed all together as the images belonged and were copyrighted by Stampin’ Up and I no longer have access to those images. We will make up for it in 2021!! I’m still working hard to get everything corrected and should have everything back up and running by tomorrow morning. This will not effect anything that is scheduled to post. It only effects past blog posts. Thank you so much for your continued patience, support and understanding as I work through this.
Good evening and welcome to another edition of Cards and Creations by Lori McBride. My name is Lori McBride and I’m a Stampin’ Up Independent Demonstrator.
Unfortunately tonight, I experienced a major technical difficulty and have lost A LOT of photos attached to my previous Blog Posts. All of my recent works should be in tact but some of my older Blog Posts are missing photos.
Please bare with me over the next few days as I’m working to get as much of it corrected as possible. Unfortunately, at this hour, it’s looking as if several of my previous posts will have to be deleted.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
A very special thanks to JaNette Howard for spending the last 2 hours with me trying to help me get this resolved. I love you girl! Thank you so much for being my lighthouse through the shark infested waters!!! You’re the best!!
Good morning and welcome to another edition of Cards and Creations by Lori McBride and our January 2021 Team Stamp It Blog Hop. This month the theme of our Blog Hop is Valentine’s Day. Kind of the unique thing about this project is that it doesn’t have to be for “Valentine’s Day.” It could be quite literally for any other occasion. Birthdays, anniversaries, weddings or just because. The possibilities are endless!!
The photos in the Catalog do absolutely nothing for the size of the treat boxes. The boxes are most definitely not Mini sized and are large enough to fit not only a ton of candy but a lot of small gifts as well.
*Measurements*
10″ x 3 3/4″ DSP
10″ x 2″ DSSP
*Assembly Instructions*
I assembled the box (no adhesive required. Cut the DSP and DSSP with my Stampin’ Trimmer. Ran dies through my *NEW* Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Mini Machine. I hand colored the DSP with my Stampin’ Write Markers, wrapped them around the box, securing them with Tear & Tape and Viola! A quick, cute, finished project in just minutes.
At this time, I’d like to congratulate the winner of last month’s Blog Hop:
Thank you for joining me today. I hope you’ll continue to hop along with all of the other very talented ladies participating in this month’s Blog Hop. Don’t forget to leave a comment using #teamstampit to win:
Good morning and welcome to another edition of Cards and Creations by Lori McBride. My name is Lori McBride and I’m a Stampin’ Up Independent Demonstrator.
Today, I’d like to share with you my take on the January 2021 Sending Love Paper Pumpkin Kit with pieces from the Add On Kit.
The cards themselves were pretty basic and easy to assemble using the instructions provided in the kit but it still left the mailbox card a bit plain. There is a small snail stamp that came with the kit but I still felt like it needed a touch more dimension so I broke into the Add On Kit and grabbed one of the die cut snails, added a Stampin’ Dimensional to the back and added him to the card front.
*TIP*
The Paper Pumpkin Kit came with an entire spool of ribbon this month. If you use it a bit more sparingly than the instructions calls for, you will have extra ribbon to use with the Add On which are adorable little treat boxes. I was also a bit frugal with the enamel shapes also with the intention of using them with the Add On.
The Add On was most definitely worth the additional purchase. The boxes are going to be amazing for treats and small gifts.
Thank you so much for joining me today. I hope that seeing these Cards and Creations will inspire you to subscribe to February’s kit. The Bouquet Of Hope Kit Subscription period is happening now and will end February 10th. To subscribe, please following the link provided below to my online store.
Good morning and welcome to another edition of Cards and Creations by Lori McBride. My name is Lori McBride and I’m a Stampin’ Up Independent Demonstrator.
Yesterday, I shared with you the baby boy version of this card. Today, I’d like to share with you the baby girl version using the same *Baby Pull Toy Stamp Set*
*Supply List*
Purple Posy Cardstock
Crumb Cake Cardstock
Petal Pink Cardstock
Basic White Cardstock
Gray Granite Ribbon
*Stampin’ Blends Markers*
Dark and Light Pumpkin Pie
Dark and light Daffodil Delight
Dark and Light Gray Granite
Dark and light Petal Pink
Dark and light Cajun Craze
Dark Soft Sea Foam
Dark Crumb Cake
Light Highland Heather
Light So Saffron
I used the exact same colors to color the zoo animals on both baby cards. I used dark and light Pumpkin Pie and Daffodil Delight on the lion, dark and light Gray Granite with a touch of dark and light Petal Pink (for the cheeks) on the elephant and dark and light Cajun Craze on the giraffe. The only moderation between the two cards are the little stands and wheels.
I really wanted to show how the exact same colors could really be used for both a baby girl and a baby boy and also show how universal the stamp set is for both.
Thank you so much for joining me today. I hope you’ll join me again soon for another edition. Until next time – Happy Stampin’ Everyone!
Good morning and welcome to another edition of Cards and Creations by Lori McBride. My name is Lori McBride and I’m a Stampin’ Up Independent Demonstrator.
Today I’d like to share with you a card I created using the Baby Pull Toys Stamp Set from our *NEW* January-June Mini Catalog.
As I mentioned, I’m not quite a grandparent yet but plenty of my friends are and plenty of the kids that my kids grew up with are becoming parents. This stamp set was just too precious and it’s going to be great to have just a few baby cards on hand as we share in their excitement of their precious little ones.
I’d been hoping and praying for a while that Stampin’ Up would release something that said “It’s a boy” or “It’s a girl” so you can imagine how pleased I was when I saw that this Stamp Set included those precious sentiments in it.

Standard A2 Cardbase in Misty Moonlight Cardstock
I started by die cutting all of the Basic White and Basic Black Cardstock with my Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine.
I stamped the pull toy images in Momento Black Ink and hand colored them with my Stampin’ Blend Markers.
I cut and scored the Just Jade Cardstock using my Stampin’ Trimmer. I adhered the pull toys and the black matte pieces down with Stampin’ Seal Adhesive.
Using my Stampin’ Blend Markers I created stripes on the piece of Basic White Cardstock and also adhered it down with the Stampin’ Seal Adhesive.
I needed a stronger adhesive for the Just Jade Cardstock with the baby pull toys so I used Multipurpose Liquid Glue and held it down just a minute or so until the glue set.
I made a bow with the Misty Moonlight Ribbon and used a couple of Mini Glue Dots to secure it.
I created the banner using a scrap piece of Basic White Cardstock and stamped the “It’s a Boy” sentiment in Misty Moonlight Ink. I added a couple of Stampin’ Mini Dimensionals to the back and popped it up to secure it.
The inside base is also a piece of Basic White Cardstock measuring 4″×5 1/4″. I simply stamped the “heartstrings” sentiment in Misty Moonlight Ink and then stamped the stars in Momento Black Ink and hand colored them in with my Stampin’ Blend Markers.
Thank you so much for joining me today. I hope you’ll join me again soon for another edition. Until next time – Happy Stampin’ Everyone!

Being from Texas and working on a farm, I’ve seen A LOT of corn fields and stalks in my days. I’ve seen the way they’re grown in rows from the moment they till the ground to plant them. I fully convinced myself that they should be in at least one row on the front of my card almost instantly.
Thank you so much for joining me today. I hope that you enjoy this card and that you’ll join me again soon. Until next time – Happy Stampin’ Everyone!!

It’s not very often that I “case” someone else’s work. Every once in a great blue moon, I see a card that I just can’t resist and this is most definitely one of them. Today’s card was inspired by Mary Deathrage with Stamps-n-Lingers. With a few exceptions. Mary is an incredible cardmaker who’s been inspiring me for years.

Today, I’d like to share with you a card I created using the Heal Your Heart Stamp Set.
Unfortunately, loss is a large part of these sad times in 2021. Sympathy cards are definitely not my favorite Cards to make or send. With that being said, there’s nothing more touching to add to the bereaved lives of those left behind than to receive a beautiful, heartfelt, sincere condolence for the loss of a friend’s family member, friend, coworker and/or loved one.
I’m thankful that Stampin’ Up is offering the Heal Your Heart Stamp Set is one of our Sale-a-bration items that you can earn for *FREE* beginning January 5th when you spend $100.00 in my online store.
