Peaceful Deer Treat Bags

Good morning and welcome to another edition of Cards and Creations by Lori McBride. My name is Lori McBride and I’m a Stampin’ Up! Independent Demonstrator from Joshua,TX.

Today, I’d like to share with you these adorable treat bags featuring the *Peaceful Deer Bundle* which is on Stampin’ Up’s carryover list from the 2021 July-December Mini Catalog. However, when it carries over, Stampin’ Up! will discontinue it being offered as a Bundle with 10% savings so the time to buy is NOW!!!

There’s something very special that I absolutely LOVE about the Peaceful Deer Bundle as I’ve coordinated several projects with them now.

This is also one of those prime and perfect examples of “buy it now and use it later” scenarios because the DSP used in this project was the Peaceful Prints DSP which was from our last Sale-a-bration period and is now retired.

If you’re new to Stampin’ Up! and do not know what Sale-a-bration is but would still like to make this project, it is okay. Stampin’ Up! has many beautiful Christmas 12×12 DSP’s that can be used to re-create this project using these exact same measurements.

As for me, I earned and had 3 full packages of Peaceful Prints DSP during the last Sale-a-bration period and didn’t want them to see it sit there unused anymore!

*Measurements*

DSP 7 1/2″×7 1/2″ scored 1 3/4″ and 6 1/2″

Rotate DSP score at 1 3/4″, 3 1/2″, 5 1/4″ and 7″

*Instructions*

Use bone Folder to burnish score lines. Snip off small rectangle. Cut up square panels to score lines.

Fold top score panel opposite to show opposite panel of DSP. Secure with tear and tape.

On smallest panel place tear and tape and secure to last large panel to form the sides of the bag.

Fold square panels and place tear and tape  on final panel and secure to form bottom of the bag.

Pinch the top of the bag at the top and punch holes in the creases using a hole punch. Thread ribbon through the holes tieing knots to secure.

Die cut black glitter paper and Cardstock and glue together using Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

Stamp deer in Sahara Sand Ink and punch with the deer builder punch. Place Black Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the deer and secure to Black Glitter Paper.

Thank you for joining me. I hope you’ll join me again soon for another edition.
