Good morning and welcome to another edition of Cards and Creations by Lori McBride. My name is Lori McBride and I’m a Stampin’ Up! Independent Demonstrator. This is also our monthly Team Stamp it Blog Hop. The theme for our Hop this month is Christmas.
Today, I would like to share with you this mixed media project made with the Nativity Dies and part of the Snowflake Splendor Suite.
Let me start by saying that this is not a Card. I found small wooden easels with a chalkboard front for $5.00 at Target a while back and thought it would be pretty cool to do something different with using Stampin’ Up products. For those who’ve been following for a while, I created a very lovely decor piece for a baby shower not too long ago. This project is easel #2 from the same pack.

*Supplies*
Misty Moonlight Cardstock
Night of Navy Cardstock
Silver Foil
Nativity Dies
Word Wishes Dies
Snowflake Splendor DSP
Blue Gems
Adhesive Sheets
Multipurpose Liquid Glue
Stampin’ Dimensionals
Stampin’ Trimmer
If you’re not familiar with the centimeter side of your trimmer, this is a great project to get familiar with the measurements. I found that it was going to do this project and describe this project using centimeters over inches.
*Measurements*
Misty Moonlight Cardstock 13 cm×16 cm
Night of Navy Cardstock 12 1/2 cm×16 1/2 cm
Snowflake DSP 12 cm×16 cm
*Assembly Instructions*
I attached the Misty Moonlight Cardstock to the front of the easel covering the entire chalkboard surface with Multipurpose Liquid Glue. I added the Night of Navy Matte Base and the DSP with Stampin’ Seal +.
For the Nativity Scene on the from of the easel I really did want the Silhouette effect but I also wanted the majority of them flat so I attached Adhesive Sheets to the back of Misty Moonlight Cardstock and ran them through my Stampin’ Cut and Emboss machine.
I did want some of the pieces to stand out so for the Mary, Joseph and Baby Jesus, I used Stampin Dimensionals and Mini Stampin Dimensionals.
For the final touches, I added Blue Gems and die randomly added to them to the centers of the snowflakes in the DSP. I die cut a star from a scrap of Silver Foil and added a Mini Stampin Dimensional to the back and adhered it to the back.
