Good morning and welcome to another edition of Cards and Creations by Lori McBride. My name is Lori McBride and I’m a Stampin’ Up! Independent Demonstrator.
Today, I’d like to share with you a card that I created for my VIP Group on Facebook on the fly. I had no instructions, I had no ideas, I just sort of went with it in what I called “Try It Tuesday.”

When I sat down with this project, I had general brainstorming but no sketch, no sample card, no real clue what I was going to do, no clue what I was going to use. It was a Stamp Set that I fell in love with when I first opened the Annual Catalog but hadn’t used up until this point. I decided to go Live and do a “Try It Tuesday” video.
I started off just randomly stamping in Soft Suede Ink.
I used Versamark, gold embossing powder and heat tool to emboss the cross and then fussy cut around it. On a scrap piece of Whisper White Cardstock I stamped the wheat images in Momento Black Ink and hand colored them with Stampin’ Blend Markers. I put Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back of the cross image and adhered it over the wheat images. I stamped the “Faith” sentiment in Crumb Cake Ink.
I ran the Very Vanilla ribbon from the Forever Greenery Ribbon Combo Pack over the top of the wheat image and under the cross and adhered it to the back using Stampin’ Seal Adhesive and adhered that piece to the sentiment stamped matte base. I cut off another small piece of ribbon and created a faux bow.
For the final touch, I added Champagne Rhinestones just to add a little interest.
I plan on doing a “stepped up” version of this card soon.
