Cocktail Box

Good morning and welcome to another edition of Cards and Creations by Lori McBride. My name is Lori McBride and I’m a Stampin’ Up! Independent Demonstrator.

Today, I’d like to share with you this Cocktail Box that I made for a friend of mine’s daughter who just celebrated her 21st birthday.

Now, I’m not even going to fool around with ya’ll. I didn’t use a template to create this one. The best thing I can do is tell ya’ll what I used and the final dimensions of the finished product.

*Supplies*

Magenta Madness Cardstock 8 1/2×11″

It’s Better Than Bundle

Stitched Nested Dies

Momento Black Ink

Stampin’ Dimensionals

Tear and Tape

Adhesive Sheets

Stampin’ Write Markers

Magenta Madness Ribbon

Printed Gusseted Cellophane Bags

Flowers For Every Season 6×6 DSP

*Measurements*

The final box measures 3 3/4″× 3″

The DSP measures 2 – 3 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ pieces for the front panels

The DSP measures 2 3/4″ x 3 1/2″

*Basic Assembly Instructions*

Before I really begin on trying to explain how I made this stinker, I thought I’d share what the printed gusseted cellophane bag actually contains. The box contains four sampler bottles of premium spirits and a $50.00 gift card.

Contents of Cellophane Bag

I began with a full sheet of Magenta Madness Cardstock scored at 3/4″, 2 3/4″, 6 3/4″ on the Portrait side. (Short Side)

Rotate the Cardstock to the Landscape (Long Side) and score at 3 3/4″ and 6 3/4″.

Trim off the 3/4″ score all together.

On the Landscape side, you should have 2 rectangles and one square in between the rectangles. Cut up the scorelines to the scorelines.

Rotate your Cardstock to the other Landscape side and repeat cuts.

Add tear and tape assemble box or you could use Stampin’ Seal+. I used a little bit of both.

I used Stampin’ Seal to adhere front and side panels to the box.

Using the Stitched Nested Dies and a scrap of Whisper White Cardstock, I ran the nest through my die cutting machine and stamped the “Today Is” and “Day” sentiments in Momento Black Ink.

Using the Love You More Than Dies, a scrap of Magenta Madness Cardstock and Adhesive Sheets, I ran the “Cocktails” sentiment through my die cutting machine.

I removed the backing with my Take Your Pick Tool and adhered it directly down on the nest.

I stamped the cocktail image in Momento Black ink, again used the Love You More Than Dies and die cut the image using my machine. I hand colored the cocktail image with my Stampin’ Write Markers.

I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the nest and the cocktail image to secure them in place.

I also created a card to match her gift box using the same Bundle.
