Best Dressed Mother’s Day Card

Good morning and welcome to another edition of Cards and Creations by Lori McBride. My name is Lori McBride and I’m a Stampin’ Up Independent Demonstrator. Today, I would like to share with you a card that I created using the Best Dressed Suite (Item #153926) from our Mini Catalog along with just a few extra goodies I’ve got laying about the craft room.

I think all moms could use a major boosting this Mother’s Day and really shown just how incredibly special they are and what an amazing job that they’re doing they’re doing during these very difficult days. Hang in there sisters! We’ll get through this together!

Lovely Lipstick Cardstock measuring 4 1/4″x 5 1/2″

Silver Foil measuring 4″ x 5 1/4″

Petal Pink Cardstock embossed with Parisian Flourish measuring 3 3/4″ x 5″

Best Dressed DSP Square measuring 2 1/2″ x 2 1/2″

Best Dressed DSP measuring 1 1/2″ x 5″

Layering Circles Dies – Silver Foil (scraps)

Whisper White Cardstock (scraps)

1 1/2″ Circle Punch

Mint Macaron, Petal Pink and Lovely Lipstick Classic Ink Pads for stamping

Mini Glue Dots

Stampin’ Dimensionals

Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Snail Adhesive

Stampin’ Write Markers in Lovely Lipstick, Mint Macaron and Petal Pink

Final Assembly:

Once all of my pieces were stamped, colored, die cut and punched, I began final assembly by adhering the Silver Foil Matte Base to the Lovely Lipstick Cardbase and the Parisian Flourish embossed matte base down Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I adhered the 1 1/2″×5″ piece of DSP down with Snail Adhesive.

I wrapped the Mint Macaron 1/8″ Sheer Linen Ribbon around the 2 1/2″x 2 1/2″ DSP square and secured it with Mini Glue Dots. I tied the Best Dressed Tassel to the ribbon, made a bow and secured it to the Ribbon with Mini Glue Dots.

Finishing Touches:

I adhered the stamped sentiment circle to the scalloped circle silver foil with Stampin’ Diminsionals and adhered the tube of lipstick down with Mini Glue Dots.

I’m pleased to announce that Best Dressed Stamp Set and Die Set will Carryover to the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog. However, the ribbon, Designer Series Paper and embellishments from the Best Dressed Suite will retire on June 3rd!! I cannot emphasize the importance of not waiting enough before all of these wonderful products are gone forever!!! It’s always such a bittersweet time for us as Demonstrators. We love these products so much that it’s saddening to see them go but it’s so exciting to see what’s coming!!!
