Baby Shower Banner

Good evening and welcome to another edition of Cards and Creations by Lori McBride. My name is Lori McBride and I’m a Stampin’ Up! Independent Demonstrator.

On the eve before the Retired List is announced, I’d like to share with you something very special that I’ve been working on.

Before I really jump into this, I do have to say that I do feel slightly guilty that I’m using just a touch of retired product in this project but there just weren’t any real good alternatives right now. I will say that if you see the Large Letter Dies and fall in love with them, I am seeing them pop up here and there second hand in various places.

On the other hand, there’s still a TON of current and retiring soon product in this project.

Personal Note:

I can not express in words how ecstatic in the midst of all of the chaos to find out that a friend of mine is having a baby girl in September. It’s a true honor to be making all of the decor for her baby shower.

Coordinating Colors:

Purple Posy, Pineapple Punch, Highland Heather and Daffodil Delight.

Supplies:

2″ Circle Punch

Layering Circle Dies

2018-2020 In Color DSP

Purple Posy 1/2″ Scalloped Linen Ribbon

Daffodil Delight 1/4″ Ruched Ribbon

Pineapple Punch 1/8″ Grosgain Ribbon

Elephant Builder Punch

Little Elephant Stamp Set

Mini Glue Dots

Multipurpose Liquid Glue

Stampin’ Diminsionals

Mini Stampin’ Diminsionals

Cardstock in Purple Posy, Highland Heather, Pineapple Punch, Basic Black and Daffodil Delight

To begin this project, I ran Largest Scalloped Circle from the Layering Circles dies through the Big Shot to create the Pineapple Punch scallops. I also used the Layering Circles dies for the Purple Posy Circles.

I used the 2″ Circle Punch to Punch out the Pineapple Punch DSP.

Using the Elephant Builder Punch, I created the elephants using Daffodil Delight and Purple Posy Cardstock. I added Mini Stampin’ Diminsionals to the ears to give them some personality.

I used Mini Glue Dots to adhere the streams of ribbon to the back of the scalloped circles.

The Large Letters are Highland Heather Cardstock. They’re glued down with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I’m always so sad to see certain products retire and the 2018-2020 In Colors are definitely ones that I will miss and hope to see returned one day.

A reminder to Customers: I can’t emphasize this enough. We do not know if we will ever see these colors again. We anticipate that In Color Cardstock, Refills, Ink Pads, Ribbons, Embellishments and Coordinating Designer Series Papers containing the Retiring In Colors will sell out quickly so please DO NOT wait to order!!

Thank you so much for joining me tonight. I hope that you’ll join me again soon! Until then, Happy Stampin’ everyone!!
